Michael has over 20 years of experience having worked for engineering consulting firms, network utility, market operator and generation developer. In his professional career, he has worked for AEMO, AusNet Services, Risen Energy, Aurecon and most recently RINA Consulting as Head of Power Systems. He has developed an overall understanding and appreciation of the Australian power industry encompassing technical, commercial and regulatory policies. His broad range of expertise and professional relationship will enable him to offer expert advice and solutions for your project needs.

He is conversant in project investment advisory, contract negotiation, grid connection, transmission and distribution planning, network operations, market simulation, market analysis and overall power system analysis up to 500 kV. His analysis interest includes steady-state, dynamic and electromagnetic transient studies, insulation coordination, lightning and switching studies, power quality, protection and control, and power system investigation. He is competent in power system modelling software such as PSS/E, PSCAD, E-TRAN, PVsyst and market software  such as Plexos, Prophet, NEO Express and Ez2view.
